Backpack for Kids!
I know it has been awhile but there have been some really exciting things happening here in the Peten! I want to first start off by taking about Backpacks for Kids. Then over the next few days I will catch you up to date on other exciting events!
As most of you know Kiera, her father Bill and Pastor Jim from Harvest Bible Chapel came down to supply the kids in Villa Hermosa with backpacks filled with much needed school supplies. It was a huge blessing!! Just weeks before they came down we had several children in the barrio come and ask us if we had any work they could do. They explained that they need money to buy their school supplies. We told them we did not have any work for them but to pray and believe that God would supply all of their needs!! It was awesome to see the smiles on their faces when they received that blessing from God!! The whole event was a double blessing for us because we got to see how the gift blessed both the kids that received it and Kiera, Bill and Pastor Jim giving them out!
One huge surprise we had that day was the Gideons showed up and handed out Bibles!! Every child received a Bible that day! The older kids received a Bible that was both Spanish and English!!! God is so Good all the time!!

When I took several kids home that afternoon they all couldn't stop talking about everything that was in their backpacks! It was really fun to listen to their excitement!!
We can never thank Kiera enough for all her hard work on this project!! We also want to thank everyone who helped make Backpack for Kids happen! Thank you for all your prayers, love, support and giving!! Dios les Bendiga! God Bless you all!
