Saturday Bible Club
Our Saturday "Club de Biblia" is back in full swing. We had closed the program for a short time to give the kids and us a small break before the 2011 school year started. It also gave us some time to do more work on the school and put some final touches on the bathroom.

We painted the inside of the school. What do you all think? The kids love it!
On Saturday me and the kids got to use the new bathroom for the first time. Thank You Brain and Khara Chunn and the New Beginnings group for your generous donations and hard work on this project. It is so nice to have a normal bathroom for us, the kids and visitors to use. The girls are especially appreciative! They didn't like hiding behind trees anymore. :)
We have also been trying for two weeks to get the English classes back up and going again. We were asked to having our classes at the public school this year. We agreed but the school is having some political issues right now so we haven't been able to start yet. Hopefully, Wednesday we can actually start teaching. We are also going to start having our school open two days a week to give the kids a place to come and do their homework. This will give them a quiet, clean place to study and if they don't have the supplies necessary to do their work they can use the supplies you guys have so generously donated. Ted and I will also be there to help them with their homework and any projects. We will see how this new program works out. When we explained it to the kids Saturday them seemed to like the idea.
This week during our "Club de Biblia" time we taught about the disciples. Ted showed the kids a 45 minute video of the disciples and their time with Jesus. They were glued to the screen! It was awesome to see them soaking up the word of God!
After the video we gave the kids coloring sheets to color. We kept a few of them to put up around the school to show off their work. It was an awesome and blessed day!!
Another concept we are trying to teach here is to help each other. This is has been the hardest concept to teach not only to the children but adults as well. But yesterday some of kids stayed after to help us clean up and put things away. To our surprise little Joel (3 years old) , Carla (6) and Desyi (7) just jumped in right away and started helping. It was the sweetest thing. It really blessed us so much to see such young children wanting to help.

Please, continue to pray for the kids and our ministry here in Guatemala. Also, let others know about our blog so they can stay informed, pray and hopefully get involved. Thanks!
